The Cat Who Delivered a Letter
Share
In a quiet neighborhood filled with flower gardens and little cafés lived a ginger cat named Biscuit. Everyone knew him because he visited every house—but Biscuit did not belong to anyone.

Each morning, he greeted the baker, slept beside the bookstore window, and followed children home from school. The neighbors left bowls of food for him, yet Biscuit always disappeared before sunset.
One afternoon, Biscuit found a small blue envelope beneath a park bench. It smelled like lavender and had one name written on it:
Mrs. Willow
Biscuit had seen Mrs. Willow many times. She was an elderly woman who lived alone in the little green house at the end of the road. She rarely came outside anymore.
Biscuit picked up the envelope and began his journey.
A sudden wind blew it from his mouth and carried it across the street. Biscuit chased it beneath a vegetable cart, through a busy café, and into a fountain. He jumped into the water and caught the envelope just before it sank.
Wet and tired, Biscuit finally reached the green house. He scratched gently at the door.
Mrs. Willow opened it and gasped when she saw the envelope. It was a letter from her granddaughter, who lived far away.
Inside was wonderful news: she was coming home for a visit.
Tears filled Mrs. Willow’s eyes as she hugged Biscuit. She gave him a warm towel, a bowl of chicken, and the softest bed he had ever seen.
That evening, Biscuit did not disappear.
He curled up beside Mrs. Willow while she read the letter again and again. For the first time, the lonely cat and the lonely woman had someone waiting beside them.
Weeks later, Mrs. Willow’s granddaughter arrived. Above the green house was a new wooden sign:
Biscuit’s Home
The neighborhood’s wandering cat had delivered more than a letter—he had found the place where he truly belonged.
